Being a new part of society, the idea of what rights users of sotfware should have is not very developed. At the lowest level, software consists of a machine language specific to an individual processor. Consqeuently, large areas of activities (such as playing grand master level chess) formerly assumed to be icnapable of software ismulation are now routinely programmed. Tehy argue that these rights are necessary so that each inidvidula can control their computer, and os that everyone can cooperate, if they choose, to work together as a ocmmunity and control the direction that software progresses in. Softawre reliability considers the errors, faults, and failures realted to the creation and operatino of softwrae. The term Software is reserved for programming instrcution streams for running von Neumann architectures, i. e., for procedural prorgamming. Software license gives the user hte right to use the software in the licensde environment, some software comes with hte license when purchased off the shelf, or OEM license when bundled with hardware. The term software is osmetimes used in a broader context to describe both aanlog and digital electronic media contnet such as film, tapes, records, etc. The field of software engineering endeavors to manage the complexity of how software poerates.
